The Aston Martin DB5 Vantage (1964) LE 1/8 SCALE is often considered to be one of the most beautiful and beloved cars ever made. It was equipped with a 3995cc naturally-aspirated straight-six engine, producing 282bhp and 280lb ft of torque, and featured numerous upgrades such as Girling disc brakes and electric windows. Despite weighing over 100kg more than its predecessor, the DB5 was able to reduce the 0-60mph time to around 8 seconds. Its fame skyrocketed when it was featured as James Bond's car in the movie 'Goldfinger,' and its popularity led to the creation of a special Aston Martin Works car known as the Goldfinger Continuation. This iconic association with James Bond was a marketer's dream and nearly didn't happen at all, as Jaguar was the initial choice but turned down the opportunity. Thanks to Aston Martin owner David Brown, the DB5 became an immortal phenomenon on the silver screen

This fine 1:8 scale model of the Aston Martin DB5 Vantage features an exterior specification in the iconic Silver Birch, with an all-black interior. Drawing inspiration from the popular DB4 GT, the DB5 Vantage boasts an enhanced high-compression cylinder head, modified cam timing, and triple twin-choke Weber carburetors in its upgraded engine. With a power boost to 325 bhp, it can reach 0-60mph in just 6.5 seconds, forty bhp more than the standard model. Production was limited to 65 DB5 Vantages, with around 40 being right-hand drive.

This model been handcrafted and finished in our workshops with the co-operation and assistance of Aston Martin regarding original finishes, materials, archive imagery and drawings. The use of original CAD and supremely accurate digital scanning of the original car has allowed us to perfectly recreate every detail at scale. Furthermore, the prototype model has undergone detailed scrutiny by the manufacturer’s engineering and design teams to ensure complete accuracy of representation.
