The shapes, lines, road performance and racing DNA are the elements that made the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider the perfect representation of "emotional mechanics", a heartfelt tribute to one of the most legendary models in Alfa Romeo history: the 33 Stradale. The end-of-series 4C Spider model was bold and efficient thanks to the use of ultra-light materials such as carbon fibre, aluminium and composite parts. Its design combined excellent agility with the performance of a supercar. The weight of the 4C Spider was in fact less than 1,000 kg, with a phenomenal weight-to-power ratio. The canvas roof guaranteed maximum lightness and adequate protection. Its suspension featured techniques inherited from the world of racing, such as the braking system with self-ventilating discs and differentiated diameter tires. The beating heart of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider was a 1.75-liter turbocharged direct-injection gasoline engine, which delivered up to 240 hp. Its performance was the result of a highly advanced transmission system: the 6-speed "Alfa TCT" gearbox which combined the immediacy of a sequential gearbox with the comfort of an automatic gearbox.
